My Book Cover Designs

Most of these book covers were done at least 20 years ago. There are some more, but yet to be found in my storeroom.

The designs with photographic method were done with Canon T90 camera and various FD lens. During that time, Photoshop program was not so popular, and most of the photographers rejected the idea of digital imaging. Therefore, all these shots in the book covers were taken with traditional and conventional photographic techniques. Most of the time, I need to set up the objects to take the shot. There was no darkroom technique used too.

For other designs, such as using water colour techniques or cut and paste, it was the idea generating stage that took lots of time, otherwise, the making is short and simple.

May Poetry Society was a famous literature organisation then, the organisation used to publish at least one or two books yearly. Mainly Chinese Poetry collections.
